Member for MacKillop Nick McBride has recently hosted a dinner with a difference at Parliament House in the capital city.
His uniformed guests were the Year 12 boarders at Prince Alfred College in suburban Adelaide.
Around 40 years ago, Mr McBride also left the family farm at Kingston to board at the Uniting Church school known as “Princes”.
He has hosted a dinner each year for the Year 12 boarders since entering the House of Assembly in 2018.
The McBride family was the first to achieve six generations of boys at PAC, around 15 years ago.
His family has also been great financial supporters of PAC over many generations.
This has been recognised through the naming of the McBride Room in the RED Centre after Keith McBride who was killed on active service in World War II, and the McBride Wing within the boarding house named after generous PAC benefactor, Peter McBride.
