Amusical tribute was paid by the Dusty Peat Flat Band to their late member Paul Hamilton at his recent funeral at the Rendelsham cemetery.
Mr Hamilton had died suddenly at the age of 72 last month while on holiday in Fiji.
There were 300 mourners sat his graveside service which was conducted by celebrant Nadine DiGiorgio and Wattle Range Funerals.
Speakers described his love for his family, dedication to his community and high business ethics.
At the conclusion of the service, a wake was held at the Rendelsham Community Hall.
Originally from New Zealand, Mr Hamilton had joined the Millicent accountancy firm of Northwood and Barton in 1990 after 11 years as a finance accountant and IT specialist with Kimberley-Clark Australia Pty Ltd and prior to that as a company auditor.
He married Rendelsham resident Marilyn Smith and they raised a family of sons Adam and Casey and daughter Jade.
Much of his working life was spent in accountancy firms in Millicent.
At the time of his death, he was a partner in TDH Partners with fellow accountants Steve Duldig and Bronwyn Turner.
The firm paid this tribute to him on social media
“Across his 34 years with the firm, Paul has been more than just a colleague and boss to the many staff that have had the pleasure of working with him,” the firm said.
“Paul’s door was always open to any of us that needed help or advice, whether that be for work or personal matters.
“He was also a good mate to not just the staff here, but many of the clients that Paul has worked with over the years.”
