Nangwarry double fatality

A second woman has died following a horrific crash near Nangwarry.

Just after 10.30am on December 28 police and emergency services were called to the Riddoch Highway at Nangwarry after reports of a crash involving a Ford station wagon and a Toyota utility.

The driver of the Ford, a 59-year-old Nangwarry woman, died at the scene.

The passenger in the Ford, a 68-year-old Mount Gambier woman, was taken to hospital where she later passed away.

The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old man, and his passenger, a 23-year-old man, both of Mingbool were not injured.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the crash.

The women’s deaths are the 87th and 89th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
