The 400 employees and contractors at the Kimberly-Clark Australia Millicent Mill now report to a female for the first time in the 62-year history of the plant.
Belinda Driscoll has become the company’s managing director in succession to Doug Cunningham who now oversees the Kimberly-Clark Corporation business in Europe.
Based in Sydney, she is responsible for leading the company’s strategy and business operations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Five of her fellow nine executives at the Sydney headquarters of KCA are also female.
The pulp and papermaking industry has long been dominated by men.
Ms Driscoll joined KCA as senior marketing director in 2020.
Under her leadership the business has launched a number of new sustainable product innovations and established a strong pipeline for future growth.
Before Kimberly-Clark, Ms Driscoll spent 17 years at Johnson & Johnson, serving in several international and local leadership roles, whilst most recently she led the largest business unit within J&J Medical.
