Anew chief executive has been appointed to the Stand Like Stone Foundation.
Foundation chair Robert Mock announced at the December Board meeting the appointment of Roger Babolka to take over the role from the outgoing chief executive Anne Kerr.
“The foundation is very pleased to have Roger onboard as he brings with him a significant amount of practical knowledge and understanding of the Limestone Coast through his many years working across all industries and three levels of government for nearly 30years, in addition to his long history of volunteer service, in the region,” Mr Mock said.
“Mr Babolka will be taking up the CEO position early in the new year where he’s looking forward to working with the board, committee members and staff in working towards achieving the foundation’s strategic goals.”
Mr Babolka said he was looking forward to taking up the position.
“The foundation has achieved a great deal since it was established back in 2004 and I’m honoured to be given this opportunity.
“I’m certainly looking forward to working with the Board and its dedicated supporters to continue to build upon the generosity of the Limestone Coast community,” he said.
“It’s also important to take this time to acknowledge the fantastic efforts and commitment given by the outgoing CEO Anne Kerr since taking on the role.
“During Anne’s time with the foundation, she has displayed her passion and dedication for this region and the foundation, and we wish her well in the future.”
