Staff believe no start is likely before 2023 on the proposed $5.5m office in Millicent for Wattle Range Council.

A staff report with a revised timeline will be tabled at tonight’s May monthly meeting.

“The architectural design is at concept stage,” stated the staff report.

“An endorsement from the council on the architectural design and cost report will be sought next month.

“This will allow the project team to commence the detailed design development stage of the project.

“The completion of prudential management and tender documentation is anticipated towards the end of 2022.

“The procurement of a major civil contractor is planned in early 2023.

“These stages of the project will be subject to council decision to proceed to detail design.”
