A service milestone with a difference has been achieved by Wattle Range Council communications officer Megan Tilley. Instead of sharing the council news, Ms Tilley is the subject herself.

It is 20 years since she joined the permanent council workforce. Before this, Ms Tilley had undertaken a 12-month clerical traineeship with the council after graduating from Millicent High School.

In addition to her current role, Ms Tilley has been a customer service officer, executive assistant to the chief executive and governance officer. “I have enjoyed the variety of the work and glad to have the opportunity to serve the local community,” Ms Tilley said.

The sporting interests of the married-mother-of-two revolve around the Millicent Football Netball Club and the Millicent Runners. The long-time netballer has successfully added AFL Women’s Football with the Saints to her sporting resume this summer and autumn.
