The Millicent Bowls Club’s Night Owls season rolls on after a vote was taken to extend play for another two weeks due to the time lost through the COVID-19 lock-down.

Players enjoyed the news with a record number of 12 three-plus touches recorded. Paul Whitford (Rovers), Gary Wilson (Mossies), Jim Hyland (Mossies), Ian Grosser (Somerset Seniors), Margie Gysberts (Gizzies Crew), Stewart Pounsett (Lions Roar), Scott Bowering (Tant Tigers), Jaydon Williams (Bedford Butterflies), Maureen McRobert (Maccas), Janet Watson (Birdies), Haydon Joiner (Lion Rams) and Graham Fennell (The George) all achieved the feat.

The Lion Cubs team of Graham Arney, Mallie Buchanan, Robert Dunn and Keith Fields defeated Rotary 30+12, while other White Division winning teams were Gizzies Crew 28+3, Scrappers 28+2 and X Factor 27+1. Mary Bellinger, Bernie Bowman, Glen Tilley, Barb Leicester powered Sunnies to a 28+7 win over Lions Rams in Blue Division.

Mossies 28+5, Birdies 27+6, Lions 27+3, Try Hards 26+5 were also successful. In Red Division Tant Tigers defeated Maccas 30+16 thanks to Scott Bowering, Tyson McGrath, Eddie Hann and Ian Johnson. Other winning rinks were, The George 30+13 and Sparkies 27+7, while Great Northern Clams, Somerset Legends, Untouchables and Grand hotel all played draws.
