The conditions for workers at the OneFortyOne seedling nursery at Glencoe are about to improve.
Primary Industries Minister Clare Scriven said she had recently visited the nursery as part of State Cabinet’s visit to Mount Gambier and environs.
“It is an outstanding facility, which I was very pleased to be able to inspect,” Minister Scriven told State Parliament.
“Some new work is going to be happening there that will enable it to provide better working conditions for those who work with the seedlings as well as a number of other positive benefits.”
She said the State Government has a commercial relationship through Forestry SA with OneFortyOne for pine seedlings for its own forests.
