Officers called to canine attack

Glenelg Shire Local Laws Officers were called to a property in South Portland following reports of a dog incident.

Officers attended the scene with Portland Police and it was determined that three adult dogs and one puppy entered a neighbouring property in Waratah Crescent.

Two of the adult dogs then attacked a small dog that resided at the property, causing death.

All dogs involved in the incident were unregistered.

The two adult dogs have been seized by Local Laws Officers in cooperation with the owners and the officers are currently collecting statements for court proceedings.
