ASA camper manufacturer is breathing new life into Adelaide’s historic Holden factory.
Within the newly crowned Lionsgate facility you will find a wide range of makers from engineering, batteries, laser cutting and a relatively new addition, camper trailers.
Offline Campers are one of the success stories that emerged from pandemic times, as owner and engineer Sam Reynolds puts it “a back shed business that got out of hand”.
Early models like the rearfolding Offline Raker and category-defining Offline Domino helped establish a steady flow of buyers looking to go off road and off grid with a little bit of luxury.
“We start with an Australian steel chassis, built and hot-dipped galvanised here in SA, paired with independent offroad suspension and marine-grade aluminium body construction,” Sam said.
“It’s rock solid, and built to go almost anywhere.”
The idea for the first camper was born from family camping trips to their favourite spot, the Flinder Ranges.
Sam, with wife Jenna and three kids, were looking for a camper that had the capacity for a family of five, built around the comfort of a queen-sized bed, that could get to the furthest reaches of SA deserts and ranges.
So Offline Campers was born.
They have set their goals on even larger dreams, now manufacturing 50 campers a year and releasing another three models over the past two years.
