Oil fire contained

Fire caused an estimated $100,000 damage to a home in Yahl on Sunday.

Emergency services crews were called to the property at 5.15pm.

Ten CFS volunteers on two trucks were supported by a MFS crew and SAPOL officers.

The blaze originated from an oil fire in the kitchen, however no occupants were injured.

Despite extensively damaging the kitchen, swift action from firefighters contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the home.
