On track action resumes at Glenburnie

Racing returns to the Allan Scott Racecourse at Glenburnie tomorrow for seven eye-catching racers to keep punters entertained.

Mount Gambier Cup hero Clever Man will have to carry a big weight to claim a heat of the Provincial Super Series at Mount Gambier.

The Trevor White-trained galloper has been allocated 60.5kg in the race with in-form jockey Kayla Crowther to ride.

White has his eyes on the $102,250 final at Morphettville on Derby Day with the talented galloper who was placed behind Does It in the Onkaparinga Cup at Oakbank on Easter Saturday.

Clever Man has proven a bargain buy for White and connections after he was purchased from the Inglis Online Sale for just $20,000 winning four of 16 starts since leaving the Anthony Cummings stable including his hometown feature last month.

Top Adelaide trainer Will Clarken makes a rare Mount Gambier appearance with an eye on the future.

Clarken has Café Rizu and Stan The Caddy accepted in the Provincial Super Series heat over the 2160m while Sidearm resumes in the 10th heat of the SA Sprint Series over 912 metres.

Sidearm is the interesting runner, a former New South Wales galloper who was runner-up at his first two start in Adelaide.

Clarken also has Nerrivik engaged later in the day who won impressively at Clare on debut while Glove, a former Tony and Calvin McEvoy galloper is set to debut for the stable.
