NO GAME on Wednesday as 12 players travelled to Penola for the three-way challenge.
Our best player on the day was Gary Carlin with Adam Waters runner-up.
The Tyrepower award was won by Gary Hegarty.
Penola won the overall scores on the day by a point from Casterton.
Saturday
SATURDAY Stableford event sponsored by Maurice Faroe saw a field of 26 players and was won by Steve Hindson (16) with 38 points from Rick Killey (11) on 35 points, on a count back from John Matthews.
Nearest the pins went to Steve Hindson on the 2nd and 17th, Arron McKinnon on the 8th, Murray Frost on the 17th and 2nd shot on the 9th went to John Matthews.
Good to see Scott McKinnon back having a round at home, along with Dennis Moore and Matt Smith.
A difficult day on the greens, still recovering from the coring, a good cut and roll will improve them over the next couple of weeks

Wednesday women
THE women played the first round of the Monica Gurry Par Trophy at the Casterton Golf Club on Wednesday.
Congratulations to Dot Norris who has continued her winning form with an excellent score of +6.
Runner-up was Yvonne Rees with +3.
Nearest the pin on the 2nd and the 8th was Shirley Koch, the 13th Michele Radford and the 17th Margaret Martin, who also made longest putt on the 9th.
