Orchids to attract a crowd

Members of the Millicent Orchid Society are now making plans for their annual Spring Show over the three days of the Labour Day holiday long weekend.

As before, there will be a colourful mix of large, small and quirky flowers and plants.

On show will be native Australian orchids to varities imported from Asia, South America and Europe.

Club members will be on hand and they are willing to describe their passion for orchids.

The St Alphonsus Hall in George Street will be filled for the three days from September 30 to October 2 with exquisite blooms from over 100 plants.

Admission to the show is by gold coin donation.

It is the 33rd annual event for the group and it has continued to attract garden lovers across the South East region plus holidaymakers passing through Millicent.
