Outdated radio station constitution re-drafted

The outdated constitution of Millicent community radio station 5THE FM has been re-drafted by its management board headed by chairman David Walshaw.

The present constitution was adopted decades ago and contains such references as a Millicent TAFE campus representative being a member of the management board.

However, the Millicent TAFE campus closed several years ago.

The annual general meeting of 5THE FM will be held at the St Alphonsus Church Hall, Millicent at 7pm on September 5.

All financial members and potential members of 5THE FM are welcome.

The order of business will be to adopt a new constitution for 5THE FM, the adoption of the financial statements for 2023/24 and the election of board members.

The draft constitution can be found on the station’s website.

“We look forward to seeing everyone there to help us celebrate the past 12 months,” Mr Walshaw said.
