Outgoing councillor thanked

Generous tributes have been paid to departing councillor Rick Paltridge by the 11 remaining elected members of Wattle Range Council.

The Penola grazier resigned as a Riddoch ward representative on August 3 after almost three years in office.

The August monthly council meeting was held in Millicent a week later with five speakers praising the research, advocacy and debating skills which Mr Paltridge brought to council.

The comments were made by Mayor Des Noll and councillors Dean Burrow, Dale Price, Sharon Cox and John Drew.

Cr Burrow also circulated a greeting card and asked councillors to make some personal remarks of appreciation on it.
