Outstanding Angus offering at Boonaroo

THE Foster family’s Boonaroo Angus stud offers 134 outstanding, high-quality bulls at its annual Bull Sale this Friday, 21 February at 11.30am, with inspections from 9am.

Despite the tough season the district has experienced, the 2025 sale bulls offering are the heaviest and most even group of bulls to ever be offered for sale at Boonaroo.

Seeing the young bull’s ability to adapt to and overcome a tough season validated their large investment of what the Fosters believe were the best Angus bulls for sale in the country in the Autumn of 2022.

On the back of their record-breaking sale average in 2022, they decided to benefit their clients long-term, by investing in the best outcross genetics they could find with industry leading figures to maximise productivity, longevity and profitability.

Those bulls included Cluden Newry R214 (the outstanding $50,000 Sydgen Enhance son), Lawsons Quantum R238, Lawsons Quantum R652, Te Mania Resolution R970 who was purchased in partnership with Seven Hills Angus from New Zealand and the country’s top priced bull of the Autumn selling season, Te Mania Reaves R574 for $130,000.

A high percentage of the 2025 sale group of bulls are again curve benders, phenotypically outstanding bulls which offer calving ease, whilst maintaining pelvic area and still have trait leading growth and maternal quality.

These Spring-drop bulls are more than capable of joining cows from the time of purchase, these bulls can also be comfortably used to join heifers for two seasons before their physical size becomes an injury risk for themselves and the heifers they are joining, from this point on these bulls are highly suitable for use in your cow herds.

The sires used boast excellent hoof shape, good growth, softness, great depth of flank, doing ability and exceptional temperaments.

Get along to the Boonaroo Bull Sale and see the team about your bull requirements this Friday Feb 21, at 137 Fosters Lane, Corndale.
