Penola exhibition creates a buzz

Alarge crowd of people attended the opening of the ‘Birds and Bees’ exhibition at Gallery 54 in Penola recently.


Gallery members created paintings, sculpture, pottery, printmaking and drawings featuring the theme of birds and bees.


Artists included Joann Fife, Ann Carpenter, Diana Wiseman, Sally O’Connor, Clemmy Underdown, Kaye Riley, Anne Miles, Sue Shaw, Denise Maddigan, Kay McDonnell and Cate Bell.


Guest speaker at the opening was apiarist Rex Clarke, with honey inspired nibbles were served to those in attendance.


Gallery 54 is open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
