‘Philly factory’ spreads support

There was nothing cheesy about a recent significant donation made to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Mount Gambier support group.

Mondelez International, the manufacturer of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, celebrated 50 years of manufacturing in Australia recently, and as part of the celebrations donated $5000 to the support group.

Plant Lead Adam Borchers presented the donation to support group president Bill Russon.

Mr Borchers said that Mondelez, known locally as “The Philly Factory”, and the RFDS had both served their local community well over many years and Mondelez was proud to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Mr Russon was appreciative of the donation.

“Such support from long standing and respected companies as Mondelez International is really appreciated and is a sign of the mutual respect between the local community and the RFDS,” he said.
