Pioneers second international woman to squad

The OneFortyOne Pioneers have signed 188cm American Haliegh Reinoehl for the 2022 NBL1 season.

With less than two months to go before the NBL1 South opener, the signing of Reinoehl gives the OneFortyOne Pioneers a well-balanced roster as they prepare for the season.

Twenty-four-year-old Reinoehl played four years of college basketball in Akron’s starting five, with her performances getting better each year.

In 2020-21 she played in Switzerland averaging 17.5 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

Most recently she has been playing professionally for the WBGLions in Wasserburg, Germany, where she has been also a member of their starting five.

OneFortyOne Pioneers head coach Matt Sutton welcomed Reinoehl to his roster.

“We are very fortunate to be able to bring another fantastic person into our group,” he said.

“Haliegh has good size and length and is another versatile player on our roster.

“I think she will quickly become a fan favourite simply by how hard she works and her competitive nature, we look forward to welcoming Haliegh into our group.”

The OneFortyOne Pioneers and the Castec Rural Pioneers will start their 2022 NBL1 South campaigns against Diamond Valley Eagles at the Ice House on April 23.
