The OneFortyOne Pioneers women will host the Dandenong Rangers tomorrow night at Wulanda for NBL1 South conference round nine action.
Mount Gambier is coming off a huge confidence boosting weekend, where they comprehensively defeated Ballarat and Bendigo.
Meanwhile, the Rangers went down to the Waverley Falcons by 21 points.
The Pioneers stunned their opposition last round, with two all round team efforts, with all players getting on the scoreboard against Ballarat.
The matches were both displays of high percentage shooting, including from behind the arc.
Tall timber Haliegh Reinoehl dominated on the weekend, continuing her stand out season where her presence has been felt at both ends of the court.
Dandenong should pose more of a challenge tomorrow night, with the Rangers currently sixth on the ladder with seven wins, while the Pioneers are in 12th with five.
Pioneers head coach Matt Sutton said his team was looking forward to taking the court against the Victorians.
“Once we get a handle of what they are doing, watch a little bit, in my opinion they are probably at full strength, a top three team in the comp,” he said.
“We will have to be at our best.
“They have good size and athleticism including Imogen Rock who played for us, it will be good to catch up with her.”
Sutton said the Rangers had plenty of talent on their roster, with several players having the potential to prove a handful.
“Dallas Loughridge played with Southside in the WNBL and she is having an exceptional season,” he said.
“They have also got Nyadiew Puoch who is one of the best talents in Australia plus then there is a sprinkling of players who are on WNBL rosters.
“It looks like they are a complete deep team at full strength.”
Sutton said his team was looking forward to returning to their home court.
“We are always happy to play at home in front of fans,” he said.
