Pioneers signings keep coming

In further great news for Mount Gambier’s Castec Rural Pioneers the club is excited to announce the re-signing of Tom Kubank for 2022.

Kubank had a solid 2021 season averaging 11.15 points per game with 44.7% average from the field and a strong 6.92 rebounds per game.

Castec Rural Pioneers head coach Richard Hill was pleased Kubank will suit up again for 2022 noting he was a player that contributed a great deal to the team.

“Tom is a versatile and high energy forward who demonstrated tremendous improvement as one of our most consistent performers last season,” Hill said.

“His speed and athleticism coupled with his ability to consistently knock down the three-point goals makes him a great fit in our system.”

Pioneers president, Tom Kosch is very pleased with the progress the club is making in filling both the men’s and women’s rosters.

“We now have 10 players signed for 2022 with discussions continuing with a number of other players,” he said.

“This puts us in a much stronger position at this stage of the preparations for the next season than we have been for some years.

“We are confident this will help result in a really successful season in 2022.”

Kubank is proudly sponsored for the NBL1 South 2022 season by Scroll Queen.
