Powerful Warrior on Patrol

The Nissan Patrol Aussies have come to know and love has just been made even better, with the manufacturer teaming up with automotive enhancement company Premcar to deliver the ultimate Warrior for all occasions.

Developed and built in Australia for drivers who demand capability and refinement in tough conditions, Premcar has taken the Nissan Patrol Ti with its throaty 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine and added a number of enhancements to ensure the Warrior can tackle the harshest of conditions the Australian terrain throws at it.

All the bells and whistles of the feature packed Patrol Ti remain, however where the Warrior shines is through it’s upgraded suspension and wheel and tyre package, redesigned bumpers and fender flares, underbody protection, revised towbar and recovery points, as well as a tuned bi-modal exhaust to really let the Warrior breath whether tackling the outback or touring the nation.

Standing taller with a 50mm lift kit and 40mm wider track presence, the Patrol Warrior elevates the vehicle to allow for machined and black 18-inch alloy wheels and chunky 34.4-inch Yokohama Geolander tyres to tuck neatly under the guards, with the redesigned tow bar with two solid recovery points also allowing for the Patrol to be equipped with a full sized spare wheel and tyre.

The front and rear bumpers also provide additional wheel clearance, while integrated grain-finish fender flares provide extra protection when venturing offroad.

A bespoke bi-modal exhaust system lets you appreciate the full power of the 298kW Nissan V8, with it’s side exit exhaust popping out just in front of the driver’s side rear wheel for maximum rumble.

Ensuring the engine and underbody of the Warrior is kept safe from the outback elements is a stamped, red powder-coated steel bash plate, which also looks the business!

Premcar has not forgotten about the inside of the Nissan Patrol Warrior either, with the already high-quality interior receiving a touch up in the way of Alcantara door and dashboard inlays and durable clear-coated gloss black trim that reflect the Warrior’s purposeful style.

While it would have been cool to see the black Alcantara theme continue up the pillars and roof-lining, the lighter colour trim ensures natural light bounces around the cabin and provides clear viewing for up to eight occupants inside the Patrol.

The Nissan Patrol Warrior also features an all-new 10.1-inch touchscreen Directed Technologies infotainment unit, with wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto giving access to safe and hands-free phone calls, messages, audio and more with steering wheel controls.

A high-definition reverse camera and iGo Street Navigation also form part of this package, while a 15W wireless smartphone charging pocket keeps your device charged up when streaming your favourite audio.

Popular Off-Road Navigation provided by HEMA is also available to for subscribers on the unit, allowing for all your offroad adventure plans to be added to the device ready to explore the great nation with ease.

The Patrol Warrior package is also impressive in both on and off road use.

While clearly directed towards the more adventure-ready buyer with it’s chunky tyres and upgraded suspension providing maximum grip and precision for offroad adventuring, the Patrol also drives extremely well on-road.

The noisy and floaty steering commonly associated with lift kits and massive tyres is nowhere to be found, even at highway speeds.

Hitting the open road to put the Warrior through it’s paces made it evident very quickly there was not going to be any issues hearing occupants when having a conversation inside the vehicle at cruising speeds, while the steering remained sharp and precise, which is a true testament to the Premcar engineers for executing such a refined package straight off the showroom floor.

Which brings us to another fantastic part of the Patrol Warrior – each and every upgrade mentioned is covered by Nissan’s 5-Year warranty, with 5 years of 24-hour roadside assistance and capped price servicing with 12 month / 10,000km intervals also included.

If you’re looking for the ultimate off-road package straight off the showroom floor, check out the Nissan Patrol Warrior, with a range of colours currently on show at OGR Nissan at 33-41 Penola Road, Mount Gambier.

So pop into the dealership and see the team or contact 8724 1111 to inspect the Patrol Warrior for yourself and get to exploring!
