Praise sung for young local musical talents

Three young local singers have been recognised for their talents at a ceremony in Adelaide.

Lauren Agnew, Maixence Williams and Megan Thompson received their vocal exam awards at Elder Hall.

The winners were selected from candidates across SA and NT and chosen for most outstanding performance.

Lauren, taught by Merry Dickins, won the University of Adelaide grade 6 prize for Speech and Performance.

Maixence, taught by Jodi Swiggs, won the University of Adelaide AMEB Rockschool vocals grade 8 prize.

Megan, also taught by Ms Swiggns, won the University of Adelaide AMEB Rockschool vocals grade 5 prize.

In awarding the prizes, the faculty noted there was a great representation of outstanding performers from the Limestone Coast.
