Race track safety gets upgrade

Trackwork has recently resumed at the Millicent racecourse after months of work by the Millicent Racing Club Committee and volunteers.

They took down the old aluminium inside running rail down and replaced it with a new PVC running rail.

Employees from the KCA Millicent Mill also donated their time.

The old running rail was damaged in the storm of December, 2023.

The significant upgrade enhances the horse and rider safety

It was helped with a grant from Racing SA and earmarked funds held by the club.

Another improvement to the course’s facilities has been the installation of a new wash bay.
