Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast (RDALC), through their new Region Ready program, is delivering a specialist seminar aimed at demystifying the migration program for local employers.
The team from the Department of Home Affairs and Department of Innovation and Skills will be on hand to share information about the program and outline the visa options that might work for regional business owners and operators.
There will be opportunities to ask questions about how the migration program might be able to help businesses grow and sustain their workforce.
RDALC chief executive David Wheaton encouraged local businesses to attend the seminar and take full advantage of the first of many opportunities being provided as part of the Region Ready Program, funded by the Department of Innovation and Skills.
“Migration program experts will be on hand to explain how the program works and how it could benefit your business,” he said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to look at new options or have a refresher on ways to help fill your workforce gaps.
“The seminar is being provided at no cost to attendees as part of our new Region Ready Program which aims to build the capacity of businesses to attract, develop and retain a skilled workforce.
“The seminar is a great example of RDALC working in partnership with South Australian Government to help address workforce skill shortages across the Limestone Coast.”
The seminar is supported by UniSA and will be held at the Mount Gambier Campus from 4pm on Tuesday, May 17.
