Residents tour exhibit

New Hatherleigh resident Selena Smith and seven other local artists are currently exhibiting in the Dr David Harris Room at the Millicent Visitor Information Centre.

Ms Smith is a painter and she has spent the past six months setting up a studio in the family’s newly acquired property.

She has been joined by Peter Dunn, Merryn Marshall, Bob Baxter, Ian Harrison, Elisabeth de Koke, Libby Altschwager and Chris Hollingsworth.

Many of their paintings and sculptures are for sale.

The exhibition has previously been shown at the Millicent Gallery and was curated owing to a late change in the gallery program.

The designated interstate artist had to withdraw and so the eight artists from Millicent and district rallied around at short notice.

The exhibition may be seen during the visitor centre’s regular opening hours.
