Retiring teacher honoured

More than 80 people attended the farewell of longtime Penola Primary School teacher Tony O’Connell.


Tony spent 36 years of his teaching career at Penola and has decided to retire.


The farewell was attended by former and current students, teaching colleagues, past principals, families and the general public.


An oval at the school has been declared the Tony O’Connell Oval after it was named in his honour.


Tony is well known for his involvement with SAPSASA throughout the region.
