Police are investigating the circumstances of a vehicle rollover at Tantanoola on Thursday night which trapped its injured driver.

At about 8.07pm, emergency services received a report of a single car roll over at the intersection of Poonada Road and Whitty Road about 1km from the township.

At the intersection, emergency services located a Mitsubishi Triton utility on its side in a paddock.

The male driver and solo occupant was still inside the vehicle.

CFS personnel from Millicent and Tantanoola and SA Ambulance Service officers were able to safely assist the driver from the vehicle.

The 57-year-old man from Narrung was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
