Roosters and Demons ready for tough battle

Port MacDonnell heads to Robe on Saturday to brave the weather in round 15 of the 2022 Mid South Eastern Netball Association
season.

When these two teams met earlier in the season it was a close match, and the Roosters will be looking to come out on top this time and redeem themselves.

The combination of Alana Winter and Belinda O’Dine in the defensive circle will put the pressure on for Robe’s goalies Sarah Laurie and Halle Carter.

Down the other end of the court Toni Gilmore’s accuracy and experience gives her team confidence and combines well with goal attack Brooke Williams.

It should be a well fought game with Robe looking to secure their place in the top four.

Nangwarry v Kalangadoo

Nangwarry hosts Kalangadoo where the visitors will be looking to increase their percentage in order to cement their ladder position.

The Saints will work tirelessly to make this hard for the Magpies, as they should prove too strong for the Saints.

Kongorong v Tantanoola

Kongorong heads to Tantanoola to battle it out on Saturday.

Tilah Buckingham’s accuracy in the goal circle, paired with the drive of Evie Sealey will mean Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will have to chase any loose ball for the Tigers.

Tantanoola goalies Emma Gould and Jami Walker combine well together, and are both incredibly accurate, meaning that Emily Lightbody and Riley Buckingham will need to utilise their height.

After a well fought game, Tantanoola should finish the game with the points.

Hatherleigh v Glencoe

After a loss against Hatherleigh in round 6 Glencoe will be looking to redeem themselves this weekend in the rematch.

Sarah Edwards and Chantelle Cocks combine well together in the defensive circle for the Murphies, and they will ensure that any of Hatherleigh’s possible goalie combinations will have to work hard for every goal.

The tussle between Hatherleigh’s Georgia Hunter and Glencoe’s Chloe Pfitzner on the wing will be one to watch.

After two weeks off, and players returning, Hatherleigh may be unsettled and will need to work overtime to get back into the swing of things as Glencoe looks to cement their position in the top of four with a win.
