Rotary helps bring much needed joy to charities

Several local charities have received donations from the Rotary Club of Mount Gambier West to help with the demands of the festive season.

Club members have been fundraising throughout the year, by catering at events including the Mount Gambier Show, Mil Lel Show, Truck Show and Party in the Park.

Funds raised from these events are channelled back into the community with Rotary supporting groups within the community that assist those struggling to get by.

Each year Rotary selects several of these groups and donates money raised through the fundraising.

This year the club has donated a total of $5000 to three local groups.

The Sunset Kitchen has been donated $2000, Foodbank $2000 and Four Reasons Why $1000.

Each of these groups are inundated with requests for assistance at this time of the year so the Rotary donations were much appreciated.
