The Mount Gambier RSL Bowling held its annual A and B Grade set pairs last Saturday.
The format consisted of an A and B Grade bowler or 2 two-grade bowlers playing three separate games of two sets comprising of five ends and a three end third deciding set if required.
The weather was kind and the bowling was of a high standard with some close encounters being witnessed.
Going into the final games of the day there was a few teams in line to win the competition, but after the conclusion there was only one pairing which came through the day with a 100% record.
The father-son partnership of Gary and Michael Fox were unbeatable, while runners-up were the experienced pairing of Ron Edlington and Harry Childs.
The Mount Gambier RSL Bowling Club’s presentation night takes place tomorrow from 7pm.
This weekend the RSL Bowling Club’s prestigious Men’s 4’s competition takes place with some of the best bowlers in the state competing for the title.
