RSL brings help to veterans

Anew veterans’ hub is to be opened by the Millicent RSL later this year.

It will offer on-site services for the welfare of veterans and their families.

A Millicent RSL spokesperson said fundraising activities will also be its focus in coming months.

“This will enable us to fund continuing veterans’ services in the region,” the spokesperson said.

“The Millicent RSL is always looking for new members, so if you have an interest in what we do, pop in and see us at the War Memorial Clubrooms on a Friday evening, from 7pm until late.

“You do not need to have served in the ADF to join the RSL, as we also have members who have not served but want to help us achieve the RSL’s goals of looking after the health and welfare of veterans’ families.”
