Ashow about a whole lotta junk is about to hit Robe this week.
Junklandia is being billed as a “rubbish show” with a “whole lotta rhythm and a whole lotta fun”.
The show focusses on two brothers from faraway planet Junklandia as they set out on a mission to teach the people on earth the ways of music and creative recycling through comedy, circus and dance.
When it comes to music, anything can be turned into an instrument, just ask the Junklandians. This is a show designed to get you thinking and change the way you look at rubbish.
Robe Community Presenter Group’s Marcia Denning said it was exciting to collaborate with Country Arts SA and bring a Shows on the Road performance to the seaside region for the first time.
“To bring creative, appealing, broad-reaching workshops and performances to the whole community in our town is a unique and wonderful opportunity,” she said.
“From schools to our most senior members, we are excited to be bringing Junklandia to Robe.
“The perfect show for families, it is all about learning an important message in a fun and engaging way.
“By the show’s end the audience will have participated in the one-of-a-kind junk orchestra where they will each be equipped with a recycled instrument and become a rockstar.”
Junklandia will be held at the Robe Institute tomorrow at 6pm.
