Lotto rumour mill on the money

Millicent rumours that a local outlet had sold a winning Powerball ticket worth almost $100,000 have proven correct.

According to the street talk, the good fortune came the purchaser’s way in a recent Powerball draw.

SA Lotteries has now confirmed that Millicent Newsagency had sold a winning ticket for the Powerball contest drawn on January 4.

The division two prize was worth $95,771.25.

Millicent Newsagency proprietors Paul and Barb Smith are delighted with the latest success and have pointed to other sizable wins in excess of $1m during the 14 years they have been a Lotteries and Lotto agent.

The couple moved from Mildura to Millicent to take over the business almost 20 years ago in May 2004.
