Rural women celebrated

The third International Day of Rural Women will be hosted by the Women in Business and Regional Development at The Apple Farm on Friday.

The day’s focus is about being able to recognise and uplift rural and regional women and for them to come together and celebrate their stories.

It is also a day of reflection, where participants are encouraged to reflect on their success, struggles and moments, as well as to inspire and encourage more girls.

Guest speakers include Robyn Verrall, the award winner of the 2022 SA Agricultures Rural Women’s Award and Sarah Hope, an artist, interior stylist and decorator and published author who released her debut novel, Canvas, in 2018.
