Santa’s Boulevard displays prepared

The 2020 NF McDonnell and Sons Santa’s Boulevard drive through Christmas display has been rescheduled to go ahead at the Blue Lake Sports Park this weekend.

The event was cancelled last weekend due to the State Government COVID-19 lock down.

“We we’re so disappointed to have to postpone Santa’s Boulevard, but council is working hard to deliver the event as planned for our community this coming weekend,” council’s Denise Richardson said.

Santa’s Boulevard will feature a sea of twinkling lights, decorations, Christmas music and 15 static floats, including Santa to get people into the festive spirit.

“The event will run in accordance with our COVID-Safe Plan, and we ask our community members to remain in their vehicles at all times as they drive through Blue Lake Sports Park to see the lit up static display,” Mrs Richardson said “Please be patient if there is a line up to enter Blue Lake Sports Park and be mindful of the road closures.”

The display will be visible on Friday November 27 and Saturday November 28 between 7pm and 10pm.
