Retailers have dropped their prices for cooked lobsters in line with the recent fall in the wholesale (beach) price to $60 per kilogram.

Multiple Southern Zone licence holder have told The SE Voice that this is the premium price for the larger lobsters with smaller sizes attracting $50.

They expect the market to remain flat for the foreseeable future.

One prominent Adelaide retailer was charging $97 per kilogram for cooked lobster a few weeks ago.

The same product is now selling for around the $85 per kilogram mark.
