Small business survey to guide strategic plan

Regional small and family business across South Australia have been invited to contribute towards a Small Business Strategy in one of the most extensive engagement processes of its kind undertaken by government.

Over the next two months, small business owners are invited to participate in the Small Business Survey or register for an industry roundtable – many of which will be held in regional centres including on the Eyre Peninsula, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.

Findings from this comprehensive engagement activity will inform the South Australian Government’s Small Business Strategy and Action Plan, to be released early 2023.

Insights will inform the support that is required in small business across the state.

The voice of small business in SA will guide future investment, grants and support programs that are responsive to the needs of business owners to overcome their real challenges and limitations.

Roundtables will be held across regional South Australia to ensure the voices of small and family businesses across the state are heard.

The State Government has also launched the Office for Small and Family Business – a destination for businesses right across the state to access relevant government information, support, services and tailored assistance in one place.

The office will collaborate with relevant service providers to curate and guide small business through an ever-evolving suite of resources and will empower small and family businesses to stay informed, navigate challenges and make the most of the opportunities available to maximise business’ success, growth and longevity.

Visit survey.business.sa.gov.au to complete the Small Business Survey or find out more about upcoming engagement opportunities.

The full list of roundtable locations will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
