Social Tiger delight

The two sporting clubs at Tantanoola are staging a unique social occasion at Tigerland on Sunday afternoon.

The footballers and netballers are jointly hosting “A Day on the Grass” on the town’s oval.

The emphasis will be on fine food while relaxing music will be provided by visiting guitarist/vocalist Shaun Brown.

A complimentary bus will be available with pickup from Mount Gambier or Millicent.

There will be food available to purchase on the day, or alternatively, grazing boxes can be pre-ordered.

Full bar facilities will be available on the day, including a cocktail bar.

There is strictly no BYO due to the liquor licencing of the event.

“A Day on the Grass” has been billed as an event for the whole family with children under 16 entering for free.

There are exciting times ahead for Tantanoola in the Mid South East competitions in 2023 with an array of new coaches across the two codes.

Jack Dawe will make the transition from player to A Grade football coach while newcomer Leah Ousey, formerly of Kalangadoo, takes the helm of the netballers.

Dawe succeeds Jak Ryan who spent two seasons in the role.
