Millicent v South Gambier
South Gambier will travel to Millicent on Saturday to take on the Saints, looking for a repeat of their last meeting.
Back in round 4 South dished the Saints their only loss of the season so far.
Since then, both sides have been dominant with the Dees only losing one game and the Saints’ record unblemished.
South will be looking to stop Millicent’s Frazer Bradley who has been tearing up backlines all season and last time these sides played Bradley kicked four goals and could have had many more.
The Dees’ key to victory will come in their midfield with the likes of Mitch Sims and Emerson Marks who will have to be at their best as they are facing quite possibly the best midfield in the league.
This game is shaping up to be another classic that will definitely be a must watch for spectators.
Casterton Sandford v West Gambier
West Gambier will head over the border this week to take on Casterton Sandford.
Both sides are coming off tough losses where they played quite well, but couldn’t get the job done.
Last time these sides played, West smashed the Cats by 53 points. Since then the Casterton Sandford has been playing quite well, keeping it competitive with the top teams, but they have struggled to play consistent footy for all four quarters.
West on the other hand has not had the best luck over the past three weeks as they have found themselves in a bit of a cold patch, losing three in a row.
The Roos will be looking to get the win this week as if they lose this game to the Cats it will close the gap between them on the ladder as they are both fighting for the top four spot.
East Gambier v North Gambier
North Gambier will head to the Kennel this week to take on the Doggies.
Last time these sides played the Tigers won by 51 points.
Heading into this game the Tigers have been on a bit of a hot streak, winning three games in a row, while East have not had the best season so far as they are still looking for their first win.
This season North has been deadly all over the field as they always seem to find ways to get everyone involved through multiple goal scorers.
For East to get their first win they will need to play like they did in the first half against Millicent last week.
In that game they kept it competitive with the Saints as they only trailed by 19 at half time.
Their struggle this season has been playing competitively for a whole game as they struggled in the second half last week.
This will definitely be a game the Tigers will be looking to win as they have the Saints next week.
