HARROW Balmoral Kangaroos got back on the winning list with an 80-point victory over old and respected rivals Rupanyup.
The Roos were still without most of their top-end injured players but put together four pretty solid quarters to have their biggest win of the year.
The Harrow ground was in great condition for its second match of the season, but a freezing northerly wind and grey skies made for a very cold day for players and spectators.
The Roos looked set for a tough day as the Rupanyup Panthers matched them in the first quarter, but Harrow Balmoral got some systems going with the wind behind them in the second term.
Big Noah Hildebrand was strong in the ruck, his marking and field play gets better each week and Peter Staude, Will Burbury and Ethan Appleton are working well with him around the packs.
Six, five and five goals in the final three quarters was a percentage boost for the Roos after some tight games; big Lachie Craig got four goals and the wingmen, Brock Summerhayse and Josh Grant, were good again.
Next week Harrow Balmoral travels to Natimuk, then with games against Edenhope Apsley, Laharum, Taylors Lake and Kalkee, who are mostly in the lower end of the ladder, it is a chance for the Roos to reset and work their injured players back in before three games against potential finalists to finish the season.
