Asnorkeller was hospitalised after a mishap with a spear gun in the waters off Beachport on Friday afternoon.
The teenage male was spearfishing with a companion around 4pm near Woolley’s Rock.
The sudden movement of the water caused the prong to make contact with the man’s leg.
The accident occurred in a remote area of the Beachport Conservation Park and the scene was attended by the SA Ambulance Service and Beachport police.
