The Pioneers women and major sponsor of the team OneFortyOne have joined in raising funds for local charity.
During Saturday’s round 13 NBL1 South women’s clash against Launceston, the OneFortyOne Mount Gambier Pioneers wore special white playing jerseys with Stand Like Stone Foundation branding.
Mount Gambier Pioneers’ President Tom Kosch said the tops would now be auctioned off to raise funds for a charity which will be announced over the course of the next few weeks.
“Through OneFortyOne’s commitment to the party, a themed game supporting the local charity (took place),” he said.
“It was initiated by OneFortyOne, where the uniforms will be auctioned off following the game through the club and social media channels.
“These funds will go to a specific charity, but at this stage that charity has not been confirmed.
“They will come up in the next couple of weeks and we ask people to get on board quickly.
“Just jump onto the Facebook page and all other social media and put a bid in for the auction.”
OneFortyOne has always supported local teams and charities and it is a way of getting out there and putting something back into the community.
These playing tops will be hot property and will go fast, so jump on board and support the OneFortyOne Pioneers women and the major sponsor in this great cause over the next few weeks.
