Vodafone’s supercharged mobile network has gone live, tripling its number of regional mobile sites and more than doubling its mobile coverage right across Australia, including in the Limestone Coast and the Glenelg Shire.
Announcing the news last week, Vodafone said the network expansion boosted its mobile reach from 400,000 square kilometres to more than one million square kilometres, bringing new competition and choice to many parts of regional Australia for the first time.
As part of the expansion, the Limestone Coast region grew from 16 to 43 mobile sites, while in the Glenelg and Southern Grampians areas there are now 29 sites, up from six.
