TAHARA remains undefeated atop the Hamilton and District Cricket Association D Grade ladder after claiming a bonus point victory against Tarrington at Tarrington Recreation Reserve.
The Blue Caps were sent into bat after losing the toss and Will Templeton carried his bat through the innings to finish with 66-not-out as the visitors posted 6-179.
Templeton found support from his skipper, Colin Myers (43) who added 100 runs for the fifth wicket with Templeton to drag the Blue Caps out of a spot of bother.
After the tea break the Tahara bowlers refused to hand the Tigers any poor bowling to score from and the visitors kept the home side to 9-84 with Oscar Ractliffe grabbing the honours with the ball with 3-10.
COLERAINE also grabbed a bonus point and hung onto second spot by thrashing St Andrews at Turnbull Street Oval.
St Andrews won the toss and elected to bat first but Tom Rowland (3-20), Archie Templeton (2-12) and Thomas Janetzki (2-1) all bowled well to restrict the visitors to 112 all out in the final over.
In replay, Coleraine watched Janetzki score t run-a-ball pace with 61-not-out to guide the home side to the target in the 26th over for the loss of only two wickets.
PIGEON PONDS also claimed victory against Hamilton North as Michael Craig (101-not-out) guided the Pigeons to victory at Hamilton Recreation Reserve by one wicket as the Pigeons chased down the target set by Hamilton North.
