The South Aussie Big Bash Twenty20 trophy will change hands when the region’s top short-format sides fight at full throttle during an action-packed finals day at Frew Park on Sunday.
After reigning premier South Gambier was knocked out in the pool stages one of North Sportsman’s, East Gambier, Penola and Mil Lel will be T20 kings after both the Semi Finals and decider take place this weekend.
Only the Tigers have previously been victorious of the quartet and are the favourites after an undefeated run through the pool stages. They will face the Bulldogs, which emerged from an insanely fought battle for a finals berth in Pool 1.
The other Semi Final will see the Eagles take on home-side Mil Lel to kick off the excitement.
With three big matches, fans can expect an abundance of boundaries and wickets as the game’s rock’n’roll format finishes in style.
The two Semi Finals are played at 11am and 2pm respectively, before the decider starts at 5pm, while catering, music and announcements are provided to create a carnival atmosphere.
