Teen seriously injured at Millicent MX event

A teenage motorcyclist was airlifted to Adelaide on Friday night after he suffered serious injuries in a mishap at the Millicent Showgrounds.

The 13-year-old was flown to the capital city from the adjacent airport by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

He was involved in the annual stadium motocross held in conjunction with the Millicent Show by the Mount Gambier Junior Motorcycle Club.

Police said they were alerted at 6.53pm to the mishap by the SA Ambulance Service.
