Friday night tennis will be taking place through October, November, January and February and the social season is gearing up with 50 players involved.

Organisers are also considering introducing themed nights later into the season.

The junior divisions will feature the same number of grades as last season, but there will be three additional senior teams for the competition.

Division 1 competition will kick off this Friday night, with the remainder of juniors and seniors starting on Saturday.

A Division 1 Fast 4 competition at Olympic Park will begin on Tuesday, October 18 and will take place every Tuesday night at 6pm with registrations to play by 5:45pm only costing $5 per player.

This is a competition for current or past Division 1 players looking to have a fun and competitive hit of tennis.

There is also a Social Fast4 competition on Wednesday nights, starting on Wednesday, October 19.

Enquiries regarding both Fast4 competitions can be sent to president@mgdta.org.au or refer to the Mount Gambier and District Tennis Association Facebook page.

The association is facing a lack of courts this season, proving a tough task, however clubs will be working together to ensure a seamless competition.
